Naam (2024)
“Naam,” directed by Anees Bazmee and starring Ajay Devgn, Sameera Reddy, and Bhoomika Chawla, is a psychological action thriller that was completed in 2004 but remained unreleased until November 22, 2024. The film centers on a professional killer who, after surviving multiple gunshot wounds, loses his memory. Under the care of Dr. Pooja (Bhoomika Chawla), he is named Shekhar, and as he recuperates, they develop a romantic relationship and eventually marry. As Shekhar attempts to piece together his past, he becomes entangled in a dangerous game involving the CBI and relentless adversaries, with each revelation leading to deeper mysteries.
Critics have largely panned “Naam” for its outdated narrative and execution. The Times of India described it as “a complete misfire,” noting that the film is “riddled with sequences and dialogues so poorly executed that they occasionally veer into unintentional comedy.”
